Melanie Arthur

Business Owner and Relationship Counsellor at Mind Mel Personal and Relationship Counselling

My drive to help couples build strong, fulfilling relationships fuels my work as a couples therapist. This drive led me to establish Mind Mel Personal and Relationship Counselling, a dedicated space for couples seeking to navigate the complexities of their partnerships, nurture their connection, and keep the spark alive. With a solid foundation in child and family services, I bring a wealth of experience to my practice at Mind Mel.

I utilise evidence-based techniques, including the renowned Gottman Method, in my work with couples at Mind Mel. I have dedicated myself to mastering these proven approaches. I help couples not only navigate challenges but also learn how to create thriving relationships, ensuring their bond remains strong and fostering deeper intimacy. My ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those facing domestic violence, mental health challenges, and substance abuse issues, has made me a trusted advocate for my clients at Mind Mel.

Beyond my professional work at Mind Mel, I'm committed to personal growth and community involvement. I'm a passionate advocate for domestic violence survivors, using my voice to empower others and create positive change. I prioritise health and fitness, participating in events like the MS Gong Ride to raise funds for those living with Multiple Sclerosis. My recent discovery of running has led me to set ambitious goals, including a quarter marathon in October 2024 and the City to Surf in 2025. I am participating in the Hill to Harbour on the 6th of April and utilising the opportunity to raise funds for women experiencing domestic violence.

With a deep-rooted belief in the power of connection and communication, I'm dedicated to helping couples navigate the complexities of their relationships through Mind Mel Personal and Relationship Counselling. My compassionate approach and expertise make me a valuable resource for those seeking to strengthen their partnerships, nurture their connection, and build thriving relationships.
